Description:A drawing of Crossbones House, the putative site of the execution of a son for murder by his father. Mayor Lynch hung his own son from a window. It is not sure if this ever actually happened. It is claimed that the event took place in 1493. Over the door, there is a bas-relief of a skull and cross bones. The house was taken down in 1830. The caption at the bottom of the drawing reads "House in Galway, out of which the mayor executed his son, with the ancient monument over the door. 1493.".
