Description:A photograph of the 'Daly Stone' of Killimordaly, Co. Galway. It is thought to have been part of an elaborate mantelpiece located at Killimor Castle where it was used to commemorate the construction of the castle by Teige O'Daly and his wife, Sisily Kelly, in 1624. The writing on the stone reads, "This is the atchivment [achievement] of Teig ODaly Fitz Dermot [son of Dermot]". On the right, the names "Teig ODaly" and "Sisily Kelly" can be seen. Dermot, the father of Teig, died in 1614.
