Description:A photograph of men using currachs to transport sacks of potatoes out to sea. They may be bringing the potatoes to a ship. Currachs are rowboats which are used in Ireland. The scene took place on one of the Aran Islands. The Aran Islands are off the west coast of Ireland. In the picture there are two currachs on the water's edge. One is being launched. It has bags of potatoes on board. The other currach is being rowed by two men. There is a man standing on the shore and there is a sack of potatoes on the ground near his feet. Further right, there is a donkey. The men are wearing caps. There are a number of sailing boats or ships on the sea.
