Description:A photograph of the stewards's house at Roxborough, Loughrea. Roxborough was the seat of the Persse family, and its most famous member is Lady Augusta Gregory (nee Persse). Roxborough house is now in ruin having been destroyed by fire in 1922, during the Irish Civil War. The steward's house is a two storey house. There is a plant container at each side of the door, and there is a fanlight window over the door. There is a circular window on the wall above this. There is a broken drainpipe on the right. There are daisies growing on the right corner of the building. On the right, there are two black cauldrons being used as plant containers. There is a hay barn in the background, and there are large trees growing near the house.
