Photographer:Taheny, Donal
Description:A photograph of beehive huts or clochans on Skellig Michael or Great Skellig. This island is off the west coast of Ireland. It is the site of a Christian monastery that was founded there, some time between the sixth and eighth centuries, and was continuously occupied until its abandonment in the late twelfth century.
