Kilbennan Church and Round Tower
Description:A photograph of the ruin of a church and a round tower in Kilbennan, county Galway. The site is associated with St. Benan or Benignus, St. Patrick's successor at Armagh, and the land for it was given by the local chieftain, Lugaid, who had been baptised by St. Patrick. There is a graveyard on the site. There is a low stone wall near the tower.
