Kilmacduagh monastic site
Description:A photograph of the Kilmacduagh monastic site in Galway county. Kilmacduagh is the site of a seventh century monastery founded by St Colman, son of Duagh, a member of one of the local royal families. It has a magnificent Round Tower complete with conical cap. There is a graveyard in the grounds of the church and there is a large tree near the ruin.
