Kilmacduagh monastic site
Description:A photograph of O'Heynes Church which is part of the Kilmacduagh monastic site in Galway county. Kilmacduagh is the site of a seventh century monastery founded by St Colman, son of Duagh, a member of one of the local royal families. It has a magnificent Round Tower complete with conical cap. There are two parallel stone walls in front of the church. Presumably, there is a road between these walls.
