Thoor Ballylee Castle
Description:A photograph of Thoor Ballylee Castle. This is a fortified, thirteenth century, Norman tower built by the Burke family. It lies in County Galway near the town of Gort. The author William Butler Yeats purchased this property and lived here, with his family, from 1921 to 1929. There is a man thatching a small house beside the castle. There is a high wall adjoining this house. There is a road on the right of the house and of the castle, and there is a Vokswagen Beetle car parked on the side of this road. The registration number of the car is 'OZA 662'. There is a wheelbarrow on the opposite side of the road. Beyond the car, there is a low, stone wall on each side of this road. There are trees growing behind these walls. Further along the road, it is possible to see a fence and a second car.
