There is a woman cycling down the street. There are several men and women in the picture. Some of the men are wearing caps. One man is wearing a hat. The first shop on the right, has the words "Café & Ices" over its door. There is a young boy walking past this shop. The next shop has a sign which reads, "Wills's Capstan Cigarettes". Below this, there is a sign which reads "The Elite Hairdressing Ladies Saloon". The next sign reads, "Guinness Sold Here". Guinness is a brand of beer brewed in Ireland. The next sign reads, "Wills's Woodbines". A sign below this reads, "Clarke's Perfect Plug". There is a public house below this sign. Further down, there is a garage which advertises two brands of petrol, BP and Shell. There is a BP petrol pump on the edge of the footpath. The first shop on the left is a bakery. There are cakes on display, in the window. There is a man in a white coat about to walk into this shop. Further down this street, there is a sign with the words, 'Select Hairdresser'. Beyond this, there is a sign with the word 'Chemist'. Futher on, there is an advertisement for ice cream on a gable wall. The bell tower of a church can be seen on the left hand side of the street, some distance away. There are electricity poles on each side of the street, and there are trees at the end of the street. There are wooden barrels on the right hand side of the street, behind one electricity pole. There is a street light attached to another electricity pole, on the left.
