Description:A photograph of the Square in the Galway town of Gort. There is a religious statue in the middle of the square, and it is surrounded by railings. Inside the railings, there are four shrubs in four large containers. There is a shed near this statue. In the background, there is a building with the words "Lally's Royal Hotel" on its wall. The Name "Patrick Lally" is over its door. There are railings on each side of the hotel, and there are steps up to the front door. The building is partly covered in ivy. There is a small group of young boys walking past the hotel. One boy is pushing a bicycle. The shop on the left of the hotel has the words "O'Shaughnessy Bros. General Merchants" over its door. Left of this, the name 'Coen' is over a shop front. Further left, the name 'D. Gilligan' is over another shop front. There are several electricity poles in the square, and two cars are partially in the picture.
