Description:A photograph of Saint Ignatius' Church in Galway city. There is a low wall, topped by railings, in front of the church. There are two gates in this wall, and there is an ornate, metal arch over one of these gates. There is a religious statue near this gate. There are several women departing through both gates and there are several women walking on the footpath having just left the church. There are cars parked on each side of the street, and there are a few electricity poles on the street. The photograph was taken from a garden at this side of the street. There are a few shrubs growing in the garden. There is a low stone wall between this garden and the street, and between this garden and the neighbouring garden which is mostly out of shot. The photograph was taken in 1939.
