A building on the left, has the word "O'Flaherty's" over its door. A sign with the word 'Cafe' is on the wall higher up. A shop further down, has a sign protruding from its wall which is displaying the phrase "Avery Scales". There is a bicycle leaning against the wall of this shop. Further down the street, there is a large sign displaying the word Mex (a brand of petrol). There are two petrol pumps in front of this sign. On the right, there is a wall topped by railings. Further down the street, also on the right, there is a sign for "Player's Please" (a brand of cigarette). Below this, there is a sign which reads, "Accommodation & Teas". At the end of this street, Eyre Square is visible. There are railings around the green in the middle of the square, and an old doorway known as Browne's Doorway acts as an entrance to the green. This medieval doorway was once part of the Browne family home that was on Abbeygate Street. There are large trees in the green, and there are several electricity poles in the picture.
