Description:A photograph of an eviction scene on Inis Meain. Inis Meain is one of the three Aran Islands which are off the west coast of Ireland. In the picture, there are five members of the Royal Irish Constabulary, and five other men all standing in front of a thatched cottage. These five men are wearing hats or caps. One of these men is holding a piece of paper and has a stick under his arm. There is a small flat container on the ground, and a flat wicker basket hanging on the outside wall of the house.
