Description:A photograph of Reverend Charles Lawrence. The text underneath his portrait reads "Reverend Charles Lawrence F.R.S.A.I, F.R.G.S, M.S.G.S., Etc. Lawrencetown, Co. Galway, Formerly Commissioned in the Austrian Hussars, Entered into Holy Orders, Michaelmas, 1864 at one time Chaplain to the Hon. and Right Rev. Samuel, Lord Bishop of Carlisle" At the base, there is a crest. On the left of the crest, the following is written. "Curate of Milburn, Bongate, and Brumfield in the Diocese of Carlisle." On the right is written, "Late Vicar of Thurton in the Diocese of Norwich". This photograph formed part of the family album of the Lawrences of Lawrencetown in county Galway.
