Description:A photograph of five curraghs moored near a ferry close to Inishmore which is the largest of the Aran Islands. The Aran Islands are off the west coast of Ireland. A curragh is a type of long rowing boat used off Ireland's west coast. The photograph was taken in 1938. There are two men in each curragh. One man is holding a rope which is, presumably, attached to the ferry. All the men are wearing caps. There are full bags in the curraghs. The caption at the back of the photograph reads "Curraghs moored beside Dun Angus ferry steamer for Aran Islands delivering stoves.".
